Bay City’s Best BBQ – Roadside at Meaty’s Roadhouse

WHAT was that!?! We drove by…. took in the smell, got a glimpse of the outdoor atmosphere, looked at each other and pulled a REVERSKI!!…following the BBQ smoke and aroma back to discover Meaty’s Roadhouse BBQ & Sausage Shack! 

As Bay City‘s Best BBQ (according to its menu), it serves up hot off the grill dogs & brats, chicken and pulled pork sandwiches , burgers, ribs and more!  This easy access, relaxed roadside BBQ joint also has inexpensive individual beers and other beverages available in a friendly atmosphere with picnic tables in the front and around the back next to railroad tracks to sit at while you enjoy your meal.   

And, just across the parking lot in the Mean Rooster Deli (inside of Meats and Mooore), there are many more food options with cold and hot sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads available along with groceries and a meat counter.

So glad we unexpectedly happened upon this roadside BBQ and turned around to give it a try! We devoured the Jumbo Kielbasa and Southwest Chicken sandwich doused in a variety of BBQ sauces along with Mac & Cheese and Coleslaw sides. Would have loved to have tried the Fish Tacos and the Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers…saving it for the next time we venture through Bay City…now we know where to stop for something good to eat!
