This one is for you, post-40 ladies, about how to have a flatter belly!  

My parents always had “Prevention” magazine around. Now, as I am weeding through mom’s magazines, Prevention in particular, I’m finding the publication informative and easy to read and understand. It’s timeless. I say that as I am reading the article, “Get a flatter belly at any age.” The article and information in it from the November 2012 issue is still relevant and useful. So this month’s Millie’s Musings is what my mom thought was important to know from the 10-page spread in the magazine.

Here’s what she underlined:

  • From the 40s section, “Avoid beer because of its belly-fat-building carbohydrates.” (I say, “BOOOOO!” even though I know it’s true!)
  • From the 50s section, which she must have thought were a little extra important as she also dog-eared the page, she marked info related to removing wheat from your diet to decrease your appetite and get belly fat loss going.   • She didn’t mark anything from the 60s section, so I’ll take it upon myself to call out the only one related to what we eat … be sure to get 0.55 g of protein for every pound of body weight each day. Also, from that section, just because I like it, “Be a Hottie” 😊🔥❤️‍🔥… which is about doing yoga (to strengthen your core), and hot yoga especially, to flush toxins and help keep skin elasticity.  

So, since it’s spring/summer season, which means less clothes and more skin and body exposure, hopefully you will find this info timely and helpful.
