Whether you are or not, if you’re looking for a way to celebrate the Chinese New Year and learn how to make  Yuanxiao(Sweet Rice Dumplings), here’s a New Year event that covers both. The ACA Lunar New Year Lantern Festival at the Chinese Community Center  in Madison Heights on February 15 will have Yuanxiao (Sweet Rice Dumpling) making demos and lots of other traditional Chinese New Year food sales!  I’ve never made Yuanxiao so I’m excited to give it a try and will share the recipe when I do!
