Happy July! Happy National Blueberry Month!

Happy July! Happy National Blueberry Month!
Seeing that July is National Blueberry month, that’s what this Millie’s Musings is about!
Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits! I bought a blueberry plant for our yard this past summer after seeing posts on social of a big bowl of fresh blueberries homegrown by family in Florida. It didn’t do much last year, as expected, but I was hesitantly hoping for some substantial growth at least, if not a blueberry or two, this year. So far, halfway into the growing season, it doesn’t look much different than it did at the END of last year’s growing season. I admit, I need to take better care of it. I’ve only fertilized it once and I think it may need to be relocated.
SO, since my bounty of blueberries has not come in YET (I’m being optimistic), it’s a good thing I found out about these blueberry supplements in Millie’s notes!
Blueberry Eye Tablet Walgreens and CVS – good for eyesight
Blue Berry Eyebright (in a purple box). Help protect and strengthen the vision. 60 tablets. Dietary Supplement. Results may vary.

We’ve covered carrots and their benefits for eyes, but while I’ve known blueberries are packed with antioxidants and VERY good for you, I didn’t know of the connection to eyesight, which I find very interesting! … SO,
I’m going to get some to supplement the real thing, which will have to be store bought while I await enough from my own bush to fill a bowl! Here are some options to shop and purchase through my Amazon Associates link if you wish, https://amzn.to/3RmNute. Take note, while these have blueberry extract the other ingredients vary. One has marigold and lutein. AND, I though Eyebright was just the word added for the name, but it’s actually an herb (euphrasia officinalis). I’ve never heard of that before!
